Existential Experience as Phenomenon of Culture
Keywords:
existential experience, existence, experience, culture, value, communication, language, objectivization of experienceAbstract
The phenomenon of existential experiences is analyzed at the junction of two opposing attributes – its understanding: as a unique, spontaneous personal feeling, and as a result of the cultural search of life meaning. Culture is presented as a platform, based on and by which people cope with the basic givenness of existence. Existential experience, within which the “main” questions of human existence are concentrated (death, the meaning of life, vocation), in its turn, represents the key features of this culture. Existential communication combined with the associated process of objectivization of existential feelings is an essential mechanism of existential experience.
