This article focuses on the interpretation of Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophy in the post-anarchism ideology. Lewis Call, contemporary researcher of anarchism, claims that Nietzsche’s philosophy provides a new outlook on the individual. It can be described through the term “anarchy of the subject”, indicating dynamic and decentralized personality. The origin of this concept is attributed to the Nietzschean thought. However, the author of the article points out that the term “anarchy” has a negative connotations in Nietzsche's works. Furthermore, this concept is opposed to the idea of hierarchy, which Nietzsche transferrers to the individual. Through the analysis of the original sources concludes the controversy of the interpretation, proposed by L. Call – his term “anarchy of the subject” might be useful for modern discussion around post-anarchism ideology, however, without a straight connection to Nietzsche’s philosophy.
