The Transhumanism, the Science and the Pseudoscience: in Search of Neomodern

Abstract

The article deals with transhumanism searches of Neomodern. In our opinion, re­turn to humanistic ideals of the Modern, their revival and search of their new quality become a vector of modern researches of understanding of consequences of techno-science development. A Neomodern searches transhumanism tend to revive the belief in human Mind. The contradictory, polemical and equivocal re­lations between the academic philosophy and marginal transhumanism don’t stop their mutual enrichment as result the forming of the reciprocal discourse field of human nature. The goal-setting in transhumanistic thinkers projects of autoevolu­tion is determined by two poles – 1) science as a source of advanced technologies and 2) a pseudoscience, producing primitive and vulgar representations about op­portunities of modern technologies. The history of transhumanism shows experi­ence of continuous revision of ideas about the new scientific research directions. Philosophical searches of transhumanists have got the ambivalent character; it gives the grounds for opposite estimates of this trend (optimism/pessimism, hu­manism/antihumanism), however people steadily are transhumanistic target audi­ence, and free finding of human happiness – the main subject.
