What kind of Modernization and what Capitalism needs Russia?

Abstract

Modernization and capitalism – are the terms employed in the scientifi c, political and
everyday discourse. The ambiguity of these terms can not be overcome due to long-term existence
of phenomena designated by them, their own evolution and diversity of countries in which they
were implemented. The paper is focused on the signifi cance of the two theories of capitalism,
capitalist economy and modernization for the understanding of these processes in Russia – the
concept of F. Braudel and the concept of expolar (informal) economy.
