Abstract

The article deals with the problems of the relation of causal order and teleology in Spinoza's Ethics, of the interaction of metaphysical and ethical principles in his philosophical discourse. The author argues that the causal order of the Spinoza’s substance includes certain teleology. In this case, the metaphysical structure of the universe acts as the primary model of the person’s moral life.
