Abstract

Andrei Platonov’s major works of great prose form the philosophical and artistic study of the transformation of the world and the human consciousness under the influence of communist theory. Main idea of the author of “Chevengur” sounds like a death sentence: the USSR under construction – the realm of death, and the communist consciousness of a man – the consciousness of the dead. What the author saw and described is not a fantasy. In artistic images he philosophically contemplated his present-day reality. Such an understanding of Andrei Platonov’s creative works is still poorly represented in modern philosophical and literary studies. The paper attempts to uncover thes understanding.
