Abstract

Author argue, that modern Marxist philosophy of history gives methodological backgrounds, enough to show social and economic nature, reasons and consequences of development of so called “eastern” and “western” civilizations. This creates opportunity to show reasons of so called “clash of civilizations” and formation of the “center” and “periphery”. Article also shows, that market is not “natural” invariant of civilization, but historically concrete economic system, which produce specific for it cultural forms, type of human being and so on.
