The paper aims to illustrate a broad range of understanding of naturalized metaphysics within the naturalization project. Naturalization is one of the constructive means of analysis of philosophical problems, for example, it provides a common ground to compare a different ontological conceptions in the same field of investigation. Realism, as a general ontological stance, receives different naturalized interpretations in scientific realism and dialectical materialism because of different grounds of naturalization and degrees of ontological generality. Within the naturalistic perspective scientific realism and dialectical materialism show a lot of similarities concerning the ontology of science, defeating underdetermination and meta-induction.
