Postmodernism is the era of mediocracy

Abstract

Article is devoted to the problems of de-intellectualization of modern society. Globalization
and postmodernism led to a sharp decline in the intellectual level of the modern social world.
A radical break with the classical tradition in philosophy, history, literature and culture in
general has led to the fact that the great intellectuals have disappeared. Their place was taken by
mediocrity and scribblers – people who are not capable to create such spiritual values that would
meet the modern realities and could raise the spiritual life to a new higher level.
