Social Policy Justifi cation in English Conservative Thought of XIX Century

Abstract

The article examines the ideas offered for social policy justification by English conservative thinkers of XIX century. The article contains brief information on social policy phenomenon, the history of English social policy formation and perception, description of English conservatism formation, and survey of the views of key English conservative thinkers of XIX century. Relevance of ideas offered by conservative thinkers is estimated in the article, along with their practical applicability.
