Abstract

The paper has formulated the main principles and logical means of DSM-method formalisms
containing the DSM-reasoning. The article demonstrates that the DSM-reasoning is a synthesis
of three cognitive procedures – induction, analogy and abduction. Discusses two possible types
of abduction. Shows how formal tools can be used to solve scientifi c problems of induction.
