Diderot as Historian of Philosophy

Abstract

In the article the statement is asserted, that Diderot's works give the grounds to allot the two schemes of historico-philosophical process, which are typical for early and mature stages of his creativity. In his “La promenade du sceptique” the classification of philosophical doctrines is based on the solution of the problem of being and the nature of God. In his encyclopaedic articles the dualistic scheme of philosophy, which is based on the gnosiological criterion, is represented. In the work the explanation of the transformations of Diderot’s ideas of historico philosophical process is offered, the question of their topicality is examined.
