This paper is devoted to so called “The work of three authors” – the article “Classical and
modern bourgeois philosophy (Essay on epistemological comparison)”, which was written more
than 40 years ago by M.K. Mamardashvili, E.Y. Soloviev and V.S. Shvyrev. There are considered
features and characteristics of non-classical ideal of rationality, which were laid down by the
authors of the Triple article and which then were more deeply articulated in the later philosophical
works of Merab Mamardashvili, main author of Triple article. This paper, considering current
cultural and socio-economic situation, tries to demonstrate that as the ideas of “The work of
three authors”, so philosophical views of later Merab Mamardashvili were interesting, but failed
attempt “to save Enlightenment”.
