Abstract

The article revisits the category of social space-time continuum (SSTC). It analyzes the
genesis of the social space-time continuum as a series of paradigmatic transformations – from
traditional to progressive, then to liberal-individualistic, ultimately leading to the contradictory
multidimensionality of social existence of our times. The article argues that in the modern world
the peculiarities of SSTC are increasingly determined by the projective and virtual-transformative
actions of the individual and small social groups, and by the polysemantic outcomes of such
actions.
