Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy in the context of existential choice of modern philosophers (Reflections on book)

Abstract

Reflections on actuality of intellectual heritage of Lev Tolstoy in connection with existential situation of modern times are represented in the article. Cultural and historical preconditions of different types and approaches to study of philosophical search of thinker are outlined.
The author leans on interpretations represented in book “Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy” (M., 2014.
Series “Philosophy of Russia of the first half of the ХХ century”), and comes to a conclusion
that L. Tolstoy becomes an equitable participant of philosophical and humanitarian discussions.
