Philosophy in St. Petersburgs Mood

Abstract

The article is devoted to contemporary Russian philosophy. The text is based on controversial
possibility of the formation of specific regional philosophical tradition. To answer this question,
the authors emphasize basic principles and key features of the St. Petersburg school of philosophy.
The subject of this investigation is the history of the development and the main subjects of
this school. Authors analyze historical background and contemporary subjects of Petersburg
Philosophy. The results demonstrate the relevance and specificity of the philosophical school of
St. Petersburg.
