“I look for Faith in Higher Good”. Lermontov’s Revolt
Abstract
Although in the public consciousness Lermontov is traditionally labeled as the “second Russian poet,” the singer of her beauty and abiding in it “unnecessary people”, the philosophical content of his poetry and prose is far from adequate comprehension. Looks like that our thinking that high about itself “creative” time until now has no intellectual and spiritual strength for Lermontov’s understanding. Maybe the calendar occasion – the 200th anniversary of the Poet’s birth – will disturb our lazy sleep?
