About the P.V. Alekseeva book

Abstract

In recent years, many books and articles in one aspect or another regarding relationship of power and science. But the P.V. Alekseev book “Power. Philosophy. The science" it seems to me very relevant, especially in the context of transformations aimed to improve the political system in the country, the creation of high-tech production, the development of fundamental and applied sciences, the increasing role of the scientific intelligentsia. There is no way to downplay this process and the role of philosophy, which is both a science and, in his other hypostasis is his worldview. On a large historical material relating to Russia of the twentieth century, the book examines both positive and negative, tragic moments in the relationship authorities and sciences, new facts and ideas are presented, giving impetus to further deeper understanding the problem.
