The problems of modern man-made civilization are today one of the most studied in the modern socio-humanitarian knowledge. In this case, still raise questions of the processes and correlation of anthropogenic influence not only technological civilization in anthropo – and culturogenesis, nature and dynamics of which always caused a lot of discussion. One of these significant phenomena is social memory, which traditionally acts as a cognitive “integrator” of social life in historical retrospect and modern social reality. This article will focus on social memory, its structural and functional characteristics, mechanisms of interaction with social cognitive phenomena mediated by technogenic civilizational “shifts”. The main issue of interest to us in this article is the problem of the formation of a new ontological status of social memory, namely the emergence of “technogenic” social memory. The author relies on numerous foreign and domestic research in the field of philosophy and related disciplines, identifies cognitive and technological aspects of the problem and comes to a number of conclusions about the factors and trends of technologization of social memory.
