Abstract

In a short memorial essay, prepared at the request of the editors, the author talks about his satirical poetry. He recalls the famous wall newspaper of the Institute of Philosophy, which declared itself in the 60s of the last century, and highlights the importance of its creative leaders-cartoonists. They were the first to awaken to the understanding of our academic institution as an institution of civil society. And it was their mastery that first of all encouraged the author to work hard to improve and mint his poetic, philosophical humor. In the author’s house, this humor is collected in an archive called the Volkhonsky Album, and this name expresses the firm intention to always compose and store poems that correspond to the spirit of Volkhonka 14 – the spirit of thaw, renewal, professional independence and an irreconcilable joke, far from intolerance. A selection of satirical poems by E.Iu. Soloviev is attached to the essay.
